Event Details In the 80th anniversary year of the Occupation of Holland, Pinner Shul’s 2020 event will focus on the heroic deeds of ordinary Dutch people, both Jewish and non-Jewish, who resisted the Nazis as well as those who rescued and hid Jews, at great risk to themselves.

Our speakers will be the Dutch Ambassador as well as Selma van de Perre, a Jewish member of the Dutch Resistance and Bart van Es, author of The Cut Out Girl.

The evening will start with a moving candle lighting ceremony, then a short memorial service will be followed by readings from young members of the Pinner community.

Doors will open at 7.15pm for a prompt start at 8.00pm. Following the formal proceedings, refreshments will be served.
